Renault & Nissan are set to expand their portfolio in the Indian market with the launch of multiple new models in the year 2025-2026

Renault recently launched the Triber facelift in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The French carmaker is now set to debut the Kiger facelift, which is expected to go on sale around the festive season. In addition to this, the new-gen Duster is also on the cards for next year. Meanwhile, Nissan will also introduce a new SUV in the country in 2026. Let’s look at the upcoming Nissan-Renault cars in 2025-2026.

1. Renault Kiger Facelift

Expected to launch around the festive season, the Kiger facelift has been officially confirmed for the domestic market. The mid-cycle update of the compact SUV will bring a host of exterior design changes, including new headlamps, bumpers, tail lights and a fresh set of alloy wheels, amongst others.

Renault will also introduce its new logo in the facelift model. Inside the cabin, expect some minor tweaks to the dashboard layout along with new feature additions. The Renault Kiger facelift will be powered by the familiar 1.0-litre NA petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engines, paired with the manual and automatic gearbox options.

2. New-Gen Renault Duster

The Renault Duster is ready to make a comeback in the Indian market in its latest 3rd-gen avatar. Scheduled to go on sale sometime next year, i.e. 2026, the new Duster will sport an all-new exterior design, fresh interiors and new features. Based on the CMF-B platform, the mid-size SUV will likely be powered by a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, putting out 154 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque.

Reportedly, a 140 bhp 1.6-litre petrol strong hybrid option is being evaluated for the India-spec model. Once launched, the mid-size SUV will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and Skoda Kushaq, amongst others.

3. New Nissan SUV

Nissan will also launch a new mid-size SUV in India, which will be based on the Renault Duster. Expected to launch around the same timeline as the Duster, the Nissan SUV could be christened Kait. Both the SUVs will share their underpinning and powertrain, however, the exterior design will be a major differentiator.Apart from this, we expect a distinctive interior layout for the Nissan SUV. It will be based on the localised CMF-B platform. Under the hood, a 154 bhp 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine and a strong hybrid motor are highly likely, both of which will be shared with the Renault counterpart.

4. New Nissan 7-Seater Compact MPV

Nissan has confirmed a new 7-seater MPV for the Indian market, which is scheduled to go on sale early next year, i.e. 2026. While the details of the upcoming MPV are scarce at the moment, it will likely share its underpinnings with the Renault Triber, i.e. the CMF-A platform.

The teaser shared by the company highlighted its sharp and aggressive design, which appeared quite upmarket. Under the hood, the three-row compact MPV will be powered by the familiar 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine putting out 72 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
